Life at 418th floor...

The Sun had set and the first stars made their appearance. Richa has always loved this time of the day. She welcomed every evening with her mobile phone, in her balcony till the dark night hovered over the city. The 'Sunshine Towers' her apartment name was promptly displayed as her location, on her phone. From her 18th floor, the city looked beautiful. What more fascinated her was looking at the tiny lights from the vehicles, marching on the busy road. At least that was the time when she could find a little movement in her dull, lonely day. The loneliness in her life was slowly taking a toll on her. She remembered every second of that fateful day even today.

"Don't be a crazy. Only some supernatural power could make it possible", Richa had cried.

Abhay, her scientist husband, involved in his research from past 10 years, in making a time machine, but ultimately, just became a joke among his peers, has finally decided to move to an unapproachable place. A place where he could completely focus on his research work and one day succeed.

Abhay had politely told, "What people think as supernatural today, technology can turn all that into reality tomorrow. Just the matter of few days and I will be back".

The days turned into months and months into years. But, there was no sign of Abhay's return, even after 5 long years.

A sudden door bell, dragged Richa out from her thoughts, back to the reality. She opened the door to find none but a gift packed in a colorful paper. She picked it with curiosity and the note read 'FROM ABHAY'.

Richa could not believe her eyes. Her heart beat raised and she fell cold. She closed the door and frantically opened the box. It was an ASUS mobile phone. As soon as she switched it on, it displayed a message, 'Press OK to meet Abhay'. Without a second thought, she pressed the OK button. In a moment, she could visualize everything change around her, quickly but surely. The furniture, the wall, the paint, the electronic gadgets everything changed into something she had never seen before. All she could do was to stand dumbfounded, looking at the mobile phone in her hand, not understanding what to do next. The date in her phone indicated 25th July 2114.

She suddenly remembered the balcony where she was standing a few minutes back. She ran there to have a look. The view from the balcony, finally made her sink into the reality.

She could no more view those tiny lights from the vehicles, as the vehicle passed through the multiple tubes like structures, which have replaced the roads. The strange tall buildings everywhere around left her in awe. The giant solar power generator stood proudly in front of her eyes, which screamed that it provided electricity to the entire city. To look at the clouds she peeped down from her balcony. Just then her cell phone beeped a warning message. "You are on the 418th floor of Sunshine Towers. Your 2 minutes in the balcony are over. Please get inside or press 'O' to create an oxygen bubble around you". She got inside her house not wanting to experiment anymore.

Richa started to explore the other rooms of the house expecting to find Abhay there. But, was disappointed to see no sign of him anywhere.  It was getting dark, so she searched for a switch board to switch on the lights. To her surprise,  there was no single switch board in the entire house. She guessed that her mobile phone might help her in switching on the lights. So, she started to explore the other functions in her phone. She found a button 'home' on her mobile and pressed it.  The wings like pop out screens popped out from both the sides of her phone. One screen indicated all the electrical and electronic equipment names and other displayed the options for environmental control. She clicked on lights option on the 'home controls' screen and her house was illuminated with lights. This excited her to try out something more.

It was cold there, so she chose an option to increase the temperature of the room. Some clicks on the required buttons and her room temperature was increased as per her need. Richa then thought of trying something from 'environmental controls' screen. So she clicked on a wind option, which allowed her to enjoy a mild wind that softly caressed her face and gave her a very soothing feeling.

She sat down on a chair, dumbstruck by the phone created by her husband. After all, she could do so many miracles using her phone, which nobody could have done or seen back then in the year 2014.

Abhay's words resonated in her mind, "What people think as supernatural today, technology can turn all that into reality tomorrow". The door bell once again dragged her back from her thoughts. Simultaneously, her phone also beeped. She looked at her phone screen which displayed Abhay's image standing outside the door. A message blinked "Press 'U' to unlock the door".

Richa smiled...

Kyra... The Sunshine girl...

When I heard about Lakme Diva Indiblogger Contest I was totally excited. Excited to know about Kyra. The girl who live her life to the fullest even during such super hot summers. So because of the curiosity to know more about her I started to google about Kyra and luckily found her in FB. I always wanted to have a friend someone as lively as Kyra so I sent her a friend request. Within no time Kyra accepted my  request and we started to chat. It was fun to know more about her as our likes and dislikes matched a lot. First few days we continued chatting and very soon we became best buddies. On one day I was talking about my home town Karwar and she became totally excited to know more about it as she loved beaches. She immediately surfed photos of it on google and was very much excited as well as curious to visit Karwar and to feel the beauty of it by her own eyes. I invited her to Karwar and also insisted to visit my home on coming weekend itself. Kyra's curiosity and the love for beach did not make her deny and she reached my home on the same weekend.

It was the first time I was seeing Kyra face to face and I was awestruck by seeing her glowing skin.  I was amazed how can a girl who love to travel and play in beach have such a radiant and beautiful skin. I asked her to take rest for sometime as it was 11 A.M and in the month of May the sun would be very cruel at this time of the day. But I had forgotten that Kyra is a sunshine girl and a Lakme Diva. Kyra started laughing and did not agree and dragged me to get ready as she did not wanted to waste any time and wanted to enjoy as much as possible. I was totally impressed by Kyra's enthusiasm and we got ready and left to beach. We both started to play in water but I was very scared that I would get sun burn in such harsh summer heat but Kyra never bothered of it.There were nobody on the beach except me and her as none dared to step out at that time. Till evening Kyra had lots of fun there enjoying every minute of the day and evening she spent a great time taking the pictures of the sunset.

Then we returned home but Kyra was still looking damn radiant despite of the whole day's sun exposure. When she looked at the damage my skin has got due to sun she gave me her LAKME SUNEXPERT and questioned me why I had not started using it yet. I told her that I had thought even this is just like another cream but after seeing her today i have realized that this is really worth using. I thanked her for LAKME SUNEXPERT and promised that I will regularly use it here on wards.

Someone visiting to Karwar and not tasting the sea food is like committing a biggest sin. :) Night my Mom has prepared some delicious sea food which Kyra enjoyed to the core of her heart and definitely she will never forget it in her lifetime.

Next day morning we decided to go to Devbagh beach which was around 10 Kms from Karwar. This time I had no fear for sun as I was having LAKME SUNEXPERT and the sunshine girl along with me. We spent the time around the beach for few minutes and then we had fun on speed boating. It is a very relaxing place where we spent our whole morning exploring the entire beach and the beach resorts.  After that we headed back to Karwar and there on the way I took her to Estaury Resort from where the entire Karwar surrounded by sea can be viewed. Kyra was extremely delighted to see the view from there. We spent our time there with the very tasty evening chaats and then left back to home.

Next morning Kyra left to her place along with beautiful memories of the summer on the beaches of Karwar. There on wards I was totally carefree even after the super hot sun rays in the super hot summer as now I had LAKME SUNEXPERT.        [ ;-) :-P ;-) :-P ]

Little Joys...

In this journey of life, when we are in the rat race for achieving something big, we ignore and forget to appreciate the small things which bring smile on our lips. Why do we always forget the fact that the happiness is not always in achieving the big things in life, but it also lies in enjoying those simple moments which give us the feeling of joy. We have so many countless complaints that God did not grant us the wish we desired but we never be grateful to God for those awesome small things that he has given us and made our life so beautiful.

So, my this blog is dedicated to some of those small moments that gives me the joy of happiness. So in which small moments does the happiness lies? Lets check out few of them ;-)

Happiness lies when the first rain drops of the first rain falls on my face and I feel it with closed eyes and open arms.
Happiness lies when I sit at the window seat while travelling listening to my favorite songs and the naughty breeze tickles me by playing with my untied hairs.
Happiness lies when a small cute stranger kid smiles looking at me and tries to touch me as if it knows me from years together.
And OMG, how can I stop that wide smile spreading my face when i see my closest once name blinking on my cell phone.
Well, happiness also lies when I start getting infinite number of calls at midnight on my birthday and some of the stupid friends of mine talks all the stupid stuffs of the world and hangs the call without wishing me to irritate me. I love you all stupids for doing such crazy things that makes me smile even now when I think of it.
To me happiness lies when I see people's crazy dance on festivals like Ganesh Chaturti and Holi and I feel like joining them and dancing as if nobody is seeing me.
Happiness lies when I realize my friends are listening to a boring song along with me just because its my favorite.
Happiness lies when my friend Surabhi reads every blog of mine with so much of interest even though its pakavu and compliments me for my writing ;-)

Even though if we are in search and struggle for something big, we need to learn to identify these small moments from our life and feel it as much as we can. So readers, just take a small break from your busy life and think about those little moments that gives you joy and start enjoying its feeling to the fullest.
